Sumario: 

During the years 1998 and 1999 was developed by the Institute of Physical Planning with technical support and funding from the World Food Programme, VAM project, "Analysis and Mapping Vulnerability to Food Insecurity in Cuba", under the technical coverage a methodology designed by WFP, which was adjusted to the characteristics and conditions of the country and consisted of a territorial assessment, the first level of analysis at national level based the decision to execute the study based on a second level of analysis specific municipal level on the five eastern provinces, considered these as higher overall relative delay at the country level.
